I reviewed Madolyn’s and Dustin’s WP#2 Draft
I get insight into my own writing by peer reviewing my fellow classmates work. It allows me to switch into grammar mode, focusing on the grammatical aspect and flow of the paper as a whole. When peer reviewing my classmates drafts I picked up some tips to on how to better my bibliographic annotations. I am not very good at evaluating an author’s perspective, why they think the way they do, so seeing the author’s perspective from another angle of my classmates draft was helpful. I will be adding to my draft a brief intro to my topic.
Ha-zah! Here I was about to submit this reflection with the sad reality that no one had peer reviewed my draft when out of the clouds of sorrow a post appeared. Yes, it is sad how excited I get at the prospect of peer reviews. I was not surprised by the comment I received on my draft. When I submitted the draft I was unsure as to the direction my topic would take; I think that uncertainty showed in my writing. Until reading other classmates I did not realize that the draft needed an intro and closer paragraph, so that is definitely something I will have in my final draft. Jeremy gave me some good grammatical advice to make the thoughts of my paper flow smoothly. I am very grateful for the opportunity to do peer reviews, they help my writing immensely.

I also found reviewing my peer’s papers to be resourceful for the structure and build of the papers. I went back to my own work and redid a few things following some of what they had done. It’s nice to know that our own papers may be helping someone else out. Good luck with your project!

I find both reviewing others and using the reviews on my work very helpful. Sometimes by reading others work I find I follow the outline of questions and realize my paper lacked certain information. I find others give great advice on improving my projects and almost always in corporate their suggestions
